OpenAI’s ChatGPT Plus is free for college students. But only for two regions and for a limited time.
The catch is that it’s only available for Canadian and US students, and it’s only free for 2 months. After this period, standard rates will apply for the plus model.
This gives users access to GPT-4o, file analysis, voice mode, and image generation.
This is an opportunistic chance for students to use the AI tool and learn from it— explore what the powers of this revolutionary tool can be like. From philosophical questions and spiritual ones to logic, reasoning, and mathematics, the tool will help students find frameworks to learn and sharpen themselves.
But that is only for those who want to learn. Of course, there will be a group of students who will use it to answer test questions and reports that they should be submitting themselves. However, that does not mean this powerful tool should not be available to students.
With guidance and iterative questions, ChatGPT learns and provides personalized advice to its users, helping them better navigate.
After all, that is what LLMs should be: hopeful assistants who can show us a better path.
